The standard mainly stipulates the classification and model, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, etc. of reverse osmosis energy recovery devices, and is applicable to power exchange energy recovery devices for desalination systems such as reverse osmosis desalination and brackish water desalination.

In 2013, the company successfully completed the production of a large-scale seawater desalination high-pressure pump with a daily output of fresh water 10,000 tons or more. In April 2014, the 1.2 million-ton unit was officially put into operation in the second phase of Zhoushan Liuheng desalination project.
