Recently, the smart toothbrush named Grush officially landed the crowdfunding platform Indiegogo and plans to raise a minimum of US$50,000. It is reported that this toothbrush has a game function, children can play games while brushing their teeth, greatly enhance the fun of brushing teeth, help children establish the habit of brushing teeth on time.
Grush is a smart toothbrush jointly developed by Yong-Jing Wang and Ethan Schur. It is still in the initial stage of development of the prototype. This smart toothbrush uses gyroscopes, accelerators and magnetic needles to accurately monitor the motion of the toothbrush. The final version will be connected to the phone via Bluetooth technology. According to Ethan Schur, they are currently developing three games, Monster Chase, Toothy Orchestra and Brush a Pet. These games will appear on smart phone screens. In addition, in order to prevent the phone from getting wet, Grush has a steam-proof housing for the phone.
At present, the project has raised 15,000 US dollars. The first 250 supporters who have funded Grush can get a Grush smart toothbrush and an unlimited cloud subscription service for just $30. If funding is successful, the final version of the Grush Smart Toothbrush is expected to be released in March 2015 at a price of $59.
