Domestic excitation system for the first time for nuclear power unit Ningqi a nuclear power research and development monopoly broke

NES6100 excitation system developed by State Power NARI recently put into operation at Tianwan Nuclear Power Station in Lianyungang. This is also the first time the domestic excitation system is applied to nuclear power units, breaking the monopoly of imported products.

The first phase of the Tianwan Nuclear Power Station in Gao Gongdao, Lianyungang is being constructed with 2 sets of Russian AES-91 PWR nuclear power generating units with a capacity of 1,060,000 kilowatts. They are put into operation on May 17 and August 16, 2007 respectively. Tianwan Nuclear Power Station Unit 2 excitation system used to support the Russian mainframe excitation, has been running for nearly 8 years, the use of Unit 2 overhaul the excitation system for a full set of replacement, and the State Power NARI developed domestic excitation system.

State Power NARI has been engaged in the research and production of generator excitation equipment for more than 30 years. Excitation products constantly break the foreign monopoly in all fields of power generation such as conventional hydropower, conventional thermal power, gas turbine, pumped storage, biomass power generation, wind power generation and nuclear energy. NARI designed multiple redundant configurations and fault-tolerant protection functions for the characteristics of nuclear excitation, and developed a brushless rotating unit detection device to meet the higher requirements of the excitation system of nuclear power generation units.

Air Valve Single Chamber

Air Valve single chamber:

1. Application: water transition pipes

2. Function:

a. when the pipe is being filled with water, the air valve automatically let air out of the empty pipes. The air must be released rapidly to make sure that the pressure does not increase in that area as flow is restricted by the air in the pipe.

b. when the pipe is being empty, the air valve must let air into the pipes rapidly to prevent the pressure from dropping and forming a vacuum in the pipe.

3. Surface coating:

Internally and externally coated with fusion bonding epoxy coating of minimum thickness of 250um. As required, Certification corresponding to drinking water like KTW, WRAS could be available.

4.Quality traceability

All the valves are with serial no. which could ensure the traceability of the production and quality control.
