Wärtsilä receives the largest single order - ballast water management system for 11 container ships

A few days ago, Wärtsilä will supply the Aquarius ballast water management system for 11 container ships owned by Bernhard Schulte GmbH & Co KG, which is the largest single ballast water system modification contract in Wärtsilä.
Shipowner Bernhard Schulte GmbH & Co said that Wärtsilä has been supplying ballast water management systems for the company's newbuildings since 2012, and that the company currently has 38 ships planned to retrofit the system over the next five years.
It is reported that the modification of the 11 ships will be managed by the shipowner Bernhard Schulte Ship Management Company. The offices are located in Greece, Hong Kong, India and Singapore, and the container ships involved are 2600-5600teu.
The delivery of the Wärtsilä system will begin this year and will be completed by 2017.
