A new virtual reality camera rig has been unveiled this week. NextVR is equipped with six red Epic Dragon cameras that have been set to provide a 360-degree view of the surroundings. The new system is the world’s first virtual 360-degree 3D digital cinema camera system designed to help filmmakers and broadcasters shoot ultra-high definition virtual reality content.
The new NextVR virtual reality camera system has been specifically created by NextVR for use in virtual reality recording of live video throughout the entire range, via virtual reality headsets such as the Oculus Rift and similar. The red Epic Dragon cameras are all connected together with fish-eye lenses to help expand the range and grab as much of the surrounding area as possible.
