"With the rapid growth of the automobile industry for more than ten years, the auto parts industry of self-owned brands has also shown a trend of rapid growth. However, with the recent rational development of China's auto industry, the development pressure of the auto parts industry has begun to stand out. The National Federation of Industry and Commerce's "Proposal on Enhancing the Competitiveness of Self-owned Brand Auto Parts" expressed concern about the lack of competitiveness of current auto parts.
According to a survey conducted by the National Federation of Industry and Commerce Automobile and Motorcycle Parts and Accessories Industry Association, the lack of competitiveness is mainly manifested in several aspects:
First, compared with foreign-funded enterprises, the overall strength is not strong and the development is uneven. At present, there are nearly 20,000 Chinese-funded auto parts enterprises in China, accounting for more than 80% of the total number of domestic parts and components enterprises, while sales only account for 20%, and 90% of products are concentrated in the low-end. Most of the Chinese-funded parts and components enterprises are difficult to enter the ranks of first-tier suppliers of joint-venture automobile products because of relatively backward technology. Among them, the parts suppliers selected by American car companies in China have nearly 100% of foreign-funded parts and components enterprises. The proportion of German car companies and Japanese car companies was 88.9% and 89.5%, respectively, and that of domestic independent brands was 52.8%.
Second, the ability of technological innovation is insufficient. In recent years, the number of newly approved foreign-owned auto parts enterprises in China has exceeded the number of joint ventures. Foreign-funded auto parts enterprises have brought capital, technology and management to the development of China's auto parts industry. At the same time, they have occupied the domestic market to a certain extent, and it is also obvious that the local independent brand enterprise parts and components enterprises are inhibiting technological innovation. . Foreign auto parts companies used to block passenger cars as the main target, and have spread to the commercial vehicle field. Previously, they competed for several mainframe factories to compete for the market. Now it is becoming more and more "big and small".
Third, it is in a weak position in supporting cooperation with vehicle manufacturers. In the relationship between vehicle manufacturers and independent brand auto parts enterprises, self-owned brand auto parts enterprises have long been in a passive position, and most of their products are produced according to the requirements of vehicle manufacturers, and it is difficult to participate in real research and development work. In the short term, it is difficult to form independent development capabilities and lack the technical support to establish partnerships. The pressure on the price reduction of vehicle manufacturers will be directly transferred to the suppliers, while the self-owned brand auto parts enterprises will also face the cost pressure of rising raw materials, energy and labor prices. Double extrusion has led to a general decline in the profitability of self-owned brand auto parts companies.
Some people predict that if we do not strengthen technological innovation, overcome the core technology of key components, and face the severe domestic market situation, the domestic independent brand auto parts industry will face a more serious development crisis. The state should introduce policies and measures to further encourage and support the development of local independent brand auto parts enterprises.
To this end, the National Federation of Industry and Commerce recommends: First, promote the integration of "government, industry, research and development", and build a chain of technological innovation that closely links scientific research, design, engineering, production and market. Led by the Ministry of Science and Technology, the company actively promotes the research and development of auto parts products such as engine software systems, chassis electronically controlled braking systems, and vehicle-assisted safety systems that are currently monopolized or dominated by foreign companies. Organize a group of national auto parts enterprises with basic development conditions and great development potential, carry out independent research and development together with national auto research institutes and well-known institutions, enhance the technical level of independent parts brands, and enhance the core competitiveness of the national auto parts industry. Break the monopoly of foreign companies.
The second is to set up special support funds for auto parts innovation to encourage national auto vehicle manufacturers and parts manufacturers to cooperate in research and development of new products and supporting applications, continuously promote technological innovation in the domestic auto and parts industry, and upgrade local auto brands. The competitiveness of components and increase the domestic market share.
The third is to clarify the specific proportion of government procurement of domestic auto parts products, especially to promote the state-controlled public transport (passenger) companies to actively use more cost-effective domestic parts and components to support the market development of domestic auto parts.
The fourth is to give full play to the role of industry trade associations in coordinating the relationship between vehicle manufacturers and parts companies, and establish a reasonable profit distribution negotiation mechanism for vehicle manufacturers and component companies to promote closer cooperation in technology research and development. Cooperation, joint design, simultaneous development, and enhance the sense of responsibility for a win-win situation, in order to achieve the national automobile industry industry chain.
Fifth, the industry traders (association) will actively organize and build an information platform suitable for sharing among China's auto parts enterprises, and realize the sharing of information resources. To avoid duplication of construction and vicious low-end competition among different enterprises, and to achieve common development of the local auto parts industry.
