Sino-German Joint Conference on Electric Vehicles Held in Beijing

The second joint conference of China-Germany electric vehicles was held in Beijing on June 21, 2013, led by the Ministry of Science and Technology. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Finance, the National Standardization Management Committee, and the Federal Ministry of Environment and Federal Transport Department of Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology.

The meeting was co-chaired by Chen Linhao, Deputy Director General of the Department of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Deputy Director Chen Jiachang of the High-tech Division and Director Steinkemper of the Federal Ministry of Environment of Germany. Dr. Shi Mingxian, the German ambassador to China, said at the conference that Premier Li Keqiang made Germany the first country to visit Europe and proved that the relations between China and Germany are very close. Germany is willing to strengthen the strategic partnership between the two countries, including strategic cooperation in the field of electric vehicles.

At the meeting, representatives of both China and Germany introduced the latest developments in the development of electric vehicles in their respective countries, discussed the topics of electric vehicles in the public transport sector, charging infrastructure, electric traffic standardization and markets, and proposed specific cooperation. . Both parties agreed that the development of electric vehicles is a common need for the two countries to meet the challenges of resources and the environment. The Sino-German electric vehicle cooperation platform is an important mechanism for coordinating the cooperation between multiple departments of the two countries and is of great significance. The two sides agreed that the third joint conference of China-Germany electric vehicles will be held in Germany in 2014.
