Skiving Heat Sinks

The skiving fins Heatsinks are processed with a special tool, so that the arc-shaped precision thin sheets are cut from the metal block. Since the Heatsink Fins and the metal block are made of the same material, there is no disadvantages that bonding heatsinks or folding heatsink has. Due to modern improvements in heatsinks process technology, high-density fins can now also be fabricated.

At present, most of this skiving processing materials are 6063 aluminum, and the cutting of copper for this special process is still in the experimental stage. Since the depth of cuting skiving fins can be quite low, the thickness of the skiving fins can be thinner, allowing the design achieving of lighter and higher performance heat sink.
