DC high voltage generator operation precautions

● Indicators, switches, knobs, etc. on the control box have been marked clearly. Please refer to the name of the component on the panel of the control box for the operation instructions.

● The seven-core socket on the side of the high-voltage tower chassis is the socket for the control box cable. The copper terminal on the side of the chassis is used for grounding the ground terminal.

● The high-voltage shield ammeter is a microampere meter. The jack on the top of the meter is the line jack to which the product is connected. At the same time, it is also used as a power switch. When not in use, remove the plug and turn off the power automatically. When replacing the battery, please open the cover screw, and then replace the cover with a cap screw. The flat garden opens the back cover when it replaces the battery.

1. Connect the grounding terminal on the panel of the control box with the grounding terminal of the high voltage tower with a grounding wire and firmly connect the ground wire of the site or laboratory. To ensure the safety of your equipment, be sure to check the ground wire repeatedly to ensure that the grounding cables are properly connected to the control box and the high-voltage tower using the proposed seven-conductor cable. Both ends of the cable have the same quick air plug. Be careful to align the side slits on the plug. Insert the coarse convex part inside the socket and tighten it clockwise. (You can use either end of the cable to connect the control box or the high voltage tower) Connect the power cable. The power supply is a single AC 220V, and the power frequency is 50Hz.

2. Turn on the power switch. At this time, the power switch green light and panel light are on. If the high voltage indicates that the green light is on, if the buzzer is in the open position, the high pressure will prompt the operator to increase the pressure. At this time, turn the high pressure output knob clockwise to increase the pressure. The voltmeter will display the load test sample. On the voltage KV value, the ammeter shows the sum of the current flowing through the sample and all the leakage currents, but does not include the current of the built-in high-voltage divider. Current in microamperes UA value.

If the power switch is turned on and the high-voltage green light is off, and the “return to zero” red light in the fault display is on, it indicates that the high-voltage output control knob is not in the zero position. Please turn this button counterclockwise to “zero position”, and Turn the trim voltage knob back to zero, the “back to zero” light goes out, and adjust it clockwise to boost the voltage.

3. If adjustment protection within the rated output voltage range is not required, turn the overvoltage protection setting knob clockwise to the maximum value. At this time, when the output voltage exceeds the rated output voltage, it will automatically protect and cut off the high voltage. If it is required to perform voltage regulation and protection within the rated output voltage range, please step up the no-load boost voltage to the predetermined protection voltage according to the above steps, and then rotate the overvoltage protection setting knob counterclockwise to the required voltage. A pressure protection action has been performed. The “overvoltage” indicator light is on, and the overvoltage protection setting knob is set at this position. The boost knob is returned to zero and the power is turned off. When the test sample is connected, the high voltage is automatically cut off when the boost pressure exceeds the predetermined voltage.

4. When overvoltage, overcurrent and other faults occur, the high voltage is automatically cut off, the green light of the high voltage display is off, the buzzer stops sounding, and the corresponding fault indicator is on, indicating that the sample has been short-circuited. If it is to be restarted, the high voltage output should be adjusted. When the knob returns to zero, the fine-tuning knob is also on the zero position. Turn off the power switch again, and then turn on the power switch again to remove the protection and boost the voltage again.

● When the system is shut down during normal operation, the high-pressure adjustment knob should first be returned to the zero position counterclockwise, and then the trim voltage knob should be returned to the zero position, and the power switch should be turned off.

● The power switch is also used to protect the reset switch. Therefore, turn off the power switch and turn it on again to turn off the protection after the fault indicator lamp (excluding the zero return indicator lamp) is on.

5. When the load is large capacitive load, in order to avoid excessive charging current trigger over-current protection, please properly slow down the speed. After the test is finished, turn the output voltage adjustment knob counterclockwise to zero. At this time, the voltmeter will still display the voltage value on the sample. Please wait until the sample passes the high voltage tower discharge to below 20KV and discharge it with the ground rod to ensure safety.
