Atlantis Resources, a Singapore-based manufacturer of tidal turbine generators, said in an e-mail statement Monday that it will cooperate with China Dongfang Electric Co., Ltd. to test its technology in Hangzhou.
This project is an extension of an agreement previously reached between the two companies. Atlantis plans to install a 1 MW turbine on the coast of Zhejiang Province, which will be China's first commercial-scale tidal generator.
In addition, Atlantis will also become a sales agent for Dongfang Motor's products outside China, including hydropower, pumped storage and tidal technology.
